IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:

  1. Yellow level 2 WARNING for Severe thunderstorms with strong damaging winds, hail and possible heavy downpours are expected over parts of Mpumalanga and south-central parts of Limpopo, as well as the northern interior of KwaZulu-Natal.

FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

  1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the North-West, the extreme north-east parts of the Northern Cape and the northern parts of the Free State.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Cloudy in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very high.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered over the Highveld and escarpment areas.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and hot, but partly cloudy and windy in the east with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Free State:

Temperature: Cloudy in the east at first, partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Fine and cool to warm.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy along the south-west and south coast in the morning, otherwise fine and cool to warm.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southeasterly to southerly becoming strong north of Cape Point in the afternoon.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.

Eastern Cape:

The Western half Temperature: Fine and cool becoming partly cloudy along the coast.

The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be light westerly becoming southerly from the afternoon.

The Eastern half Temperature: Fine and cool, becoming partly cloudy from the afternoon.

The Eastern half Wind: The wind along the coast will be light westerly becoming moderate southeasterly from the afternoon.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be gentle to moderate southerly to south-easterly.ternoon.
