Mamelodi Sundowns set to receive Pitso Mosimane’s ‘gift’ on Thursday!

Mamelodi Sundowns are set to receive Pitso Mosimane‘s ‘special gift’ on Thursday as indicated by MT Sports owner Moira Tlhagale.

Tlhagale and her team are at the forefront of delivering the special gift to all 16 PSL teams and SAFA on behalf of Mosimane.

To date, MT Sports, led by Mosimane’s wife Tlhagale, have visited Kaizer Chiefs, Swallows FC, TS Galaxy, Royal AM, AmaZulu, Maritzburg United, Stellenbosch and Cape Town City.

This means there are still eight more PSL teams to visit for MT Sports, and they include Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates among others.

Now, given the previous stand-off between Sundowns, Mosimane and his agency MT Sports over contractual issues, there were concerns as to whether or not the Tshwane giants will receive this special gift from their former coach.

Tlhagale confirmed on Wednesday that Sundowns WILL definitely receive the gift despite their differences with Sundowns.

And Thursday, 18 November, has been identified as a possible date for MT Sports to present Mosimane’s appreciation gift to the Sundowns hierarchy.

However, Tlhagale said she will again need to follow up with Sundowns chairman Tlhopie Motsepe to confirm a suitable time slot for both parties.

“I’ll need to confirm but I spoke to Mamelodi Sundowns chairman Tlhopie Motsepe and he said we can make the delivery probably on Thursday,” Tlhagale told TimesLIVE.

“I need to call them again to confirm the slot. We are working with all the clubs in line with the slots they are giving us, and sometimes it is very difficult because the slots we get are clashing, but we are trying to manage that situation,” said Tlhagale.

Tlhagale said Mosimane wouldn’t have left out both Sundowns and SuperSport United as he has a huge history with the two Tshwane clubs.

And the delivery to Matsatsantsa will be huge because that’s where Mosimane kicked started his coaching career, Tlhagale confirmed.

“People must remember coach Pitso Mosimane has a huge history with Mamelodi Sundowns and with SuperSport United. To mark this event, SuperSport are bringing the whole team,” she confirmed.

“They want to make it more special because that’s where he started his coaching career. We are delivering to all 16 teams, we are delivering to the PSL and to SAFA,” added Tlhagale.

The appreciation gift consists of a framed Al Ahly shirt, two pairs of sneakers, two cans of Mofaya, and Balck Rose Gin.
