The 161st renewal of the Grade 1 Queen’s Plate will be held on what will be Day 2 of the L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate Festival.

A total of 11 entries, headed by defending champion Jet Dark and dual Met winner Rainbow Bridge will take to the starting stalls for the R1.5 million race.

The star-studded line-up also includes reigning Durban July winner Kommetdieding, dual Grade 1 winner Linebacker and recent Cape Guineas runner-up, Pomp And Power.

Cape trainer Justin Snaith has four runners in the field, including last year’s winner Jet Dark, who became only the second 3-year-old this century to win in 2021.
