The year 2021 will always be remembered as the year that took away our favourite soapie, Rhythm City, and our favourite telenovela, Isibaya.

Soapville also remembers SABC 3’s long-running soapie, Isidingo which got canned the year before (2019).

‘RHYTHM CITY’ CANCELLED

2021 was a sad year for Isibaya and Rhythm City fans as they bid farewell to the shows.

One of e.tv’s long-running soapies, Rhythm City got cancelled in July after 14 years of production.

The show will be remembered for its stellar casts such as Jamie Bartlett, Motshidi Motshegwa, Connie Chiume and so many more.

Fans fell also fell in love with stars such as Mpho Molepo, who played the role of Fats, and the Khuzes.

South African artists were just as heartbroken as soapie fans because the show was known for promoting local music.

Viewers witnessed several performances on the show by artists such as TKZee, Mafikizolo, and so many more.
