Singh who started Hugo Broos’ first Bafana Bafana 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup qualifier, has endured a tough period for both club and country since.

Singh has had a torrid time for both club and country

Substituted during that away game to Zimbabwe and dropped the next game against Ghana, Singh was then dropped from the next Bafana Bafana squad by Broos, citing issues with his passport. He then did not make the final 24-man squad for the current qualifiers against Zimbabwe and Ghana, despite being named in the initial preliminary squad.

Singh was having a torrid time at Copenhagen during that same period, with talk of him being overweight being the latest narrative doing the rounds as to why he has been struggling since making his move to the Danish top flight.

Copenhagen confirmed that he was hospitalized

Last week, Singh was admitted to hospital with the Copenhagen coach remaining tight lipped as to what the actual illness was. But the player’s agent has since come out to reveal what it was.
