Trump weighs limited strikes to force Iran into nuclear deal, report says
According to media reports, US President Donald Trump is weighing limited initial strikes to pressure Iran into a new nuclear deal. Speaking to FRANCE 24’s Sharon Gaffney, Barbara Slavin, a distinguished fellow at the Stimson Center, said it is unlikely the United States could overthrow the Iranian government through airstrikes – and warned that such action could instead result “in a more militaristic and repressive government, if that’s even possible.”
