These 63-Cent Dollar Tree Storage Containers Are So Great I'm Buying a Cartful
These sturdy little containers from Dollar Tree hold everything from baking ingredients to rubber bands, all while making my pantry look amazing and organized.
Let's talk about my latest organizational obsession. As someone who can spend hours scrolling through pantry organization posts on social media (no judgment, please), I've learned that achieving that magazine-worthy organized kitchen doesn't require spending a small fortune. In fact, my latest find costs far less than an average cup of coffee.
I recently spotted these sleek acrylic containers with bamboo lids in the bathroom section of Dollar Tree, and I couldn't believe it. At $1.25 for a pack of two, these containers could easily sit on the shelves of a high-end home goods store, but they're available at everyone's favorite dollar store. The combination of clear acrylic and bamboo creates a modern, chic look that I love. So, of course, I had to buy several!
Why I Love These Dollar Tree Storage Containers
I have to begin by talking about the price point. At just 63 cents per container, they're wildly affordable, but being budget-friendly is only one of their claims to fame. These containers are surprisingly well-made for something from a dollar store. The acrylic is sturdy and clear, while the lids fit snugly.
They're also a great size. At six inches tall by three inches in diameter, they're larger and more versatile than the standard (cotton swab-sized) containers that are typically available. And while similar containers from other stores can cost closer to $10, these more affordable alternatives don't compromise on style or function. The transparent design means I can see what I'm storing, and the bamboo lids add visual warmth to my otherwise sterile pantry.
How I Use These Dollar Tree Containers
These organizational gems are a great solution for corralling all those partially used baking ingredients that seem to multiply in my pantry. I like using them to decant things like cornstarch and baking soda and to store some herbs and spices, like cinnamon sticks and bay leaves. And I think they might virtually eliminate the dreaded "spilled baking powder all over the shelf" situation that regularly plagues my pantry life.
They're also perfect for keeping seasonal supplies, like sugar cubes (perfect for Old Fashioneds) and bulk sprinkles and nonpareil, fresh and visible. There's something incredibly satisfying about seeing all those symmetrical cubes and colorful sprinkles lined up in matching containers. They're also a fun and practical way to store the other seasonal treats that I want to enjoy in moderation without buying an entire bag of, like Christmas M&Ms.
I've even designated one to my ever-growing collection of kitchen rubber bands (which, frankly, I don't know what I'd do without), the dishwasher tabs that I buy in bulk but don’t want taking up space under my sink, and those small, loose cookie cutters that always seem to get lost in my drawer.
Since they're so affordable, I feel great buying what I need to create the (miniature) organized pantry of my dreams. I'll probably head back to the Dollar Tree this week to grab a few more—and I suggest you do the same before word gets out and they fly off the shelves.
