The $14.99 ALDI Appliance So Good I'm Buying More for Holiday Gifts
This ALDI appliance is affordable, powerful, quiet, and cordless.
Amongst all the holiday baking essentials in my local store’s ALDI Finds section, I spotted a dream find: A cordless hand mixer for under $20! I threw two in my cart so fast with the intention to test one and to give the other one to a star baker in my life—my 11-year-old neighbor.
Because it was inexpensive and cordless, I wanted to make sure it was powerful and easy to clean before I wrapped it up for gifting. Once I got home, charged, and used this ALDI mixer, I knew I had found the perfect gift! Here’s why you should grab this mixer for your favorite baker.
Why I Love ALDI's Ambiano Cordless Hand Mixer
Stand mixers get a lot of clout for their power and speed, but they're also bulky and hard to store. I also get uneasy using a big mixer with really young bakers because they are so powerful. I do so much of my home baking with a KitchenAid hand mixer I bought 10 years ago when my kids were young. It is lightweight and easy enough for my kids to operate, plus it's much more forgiving to their tendencies to over-mix. This Ambiano Cordless Hand Mixer from ALDI is on par with my old mixer while also being cordless and quieter.
You can find the Ambiano Cordless Hand Mixer in ALDI stores right now for $14.99, and it comes in three colors—white, black, and blue-gray. The mixer has a USB charging cord (sorry, no charging cube) and two beaters. The three-speed mixer came charged right out of the box but only took a few hours to charge after I mixed cookie dough, whipped up quiche filling, and made whipped cream one afternoon. I love that a battery indicator light is visible while you’re using the hand mixer, too.
I’ve been using this hand mixer for several days now and continue to be impressed with how easy it is to use while also handling lots of kitchen tasks, like mashing potatoes, shredding slow cooker chicken, and whipping a ganache.
You can also use just a single beater on this cordless hand mixer, which is my favorite trick for making a small serving of cold foam for a mid-day coffee. Unlike other cordless hand mixers I’ve tried, this one was powerful but quiet and didn’t require the beaters to be in a specific order to work correctly. The beaters are dishwasher safe, and the hand mixer body is easy to clean.
If I didn’t want to leave a few of these cute, affordable, and powerful mixers for other ALDI fans, I’d probably head back to my closest store to stock my gift cabinet for more future bakers.
