Rain delayed the game and interrupted the toss. The Pakistani team waited at their accommodation for a weather break that never arrived. The Met Office was right about summer showers, unfortunately.

Pakistan lost the first Test to Bangladesh by 10 wickets and must recover soon since play was halted on the first day. Bangladesh may win a historic series after losing 14 straight Tests to Pakistan.

Pakistan is struggling to recover from terrible weather, which has reduced their chances of winning. The T20 World Cup was challenging and they lost all three Test matches to Australia.

The fact that renowned fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi will miss this match to spend time with his newborn may compound their woes. Shaheen, a major Pakistani player, performed poorly in the first Test, therefore the team management pulled him.

Pakistan hopes tomorrow’s weather will help them win the series after the opening day was rained out.
