South Africa women defeated Pakistan 2-1 on September 20, 2024. Only two wickets were lost as the visitors overcame Pakistan’s 154-run total in 18.3 overs at Multan Cricket Stadium.

Laura Wolvaardt and Annerie Dercksen’s heroics helped South Africa win the series. South Africa triumphed with Wolvaardt’s 45 and Dercksen’s unbeaten 44*. After 46 runs, Anneke Bosch was injured. Suné Luus was unbeaten at 14*, but Tazmin Brits was baffled on her first ball.

Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal and Tuba Hassan took wickets, but the Proteas continued. South Africa’s superb batting beat the Green Shirts in the field.

South Africa won the toss and bowled first, restricting Pakistan to 153 runs for five wickets. In the first game, Sidra Ameen led Pakistan with 37 runs. Mujeeba Ali and captain Fatima Sana struck 33 and 27 runs to make the score close.
