Did India Dominates Bangladesh in Chennai?

India’s cricket team, which started at 34-3, recovered to score 376 all out in the first Test match against Bangladesh at Chennai’s M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. Bangladesh was still 350 runs behind at 26-3 at lunch on the second day.

Batting woes for Bangladesh started straightaway as Jasprit Bumrah castled Shadman Islam in the very first over. Akash Deep struck twice to remove Zakir Hasan and Mominul Haque while Mushfiqur Rahim survived the hat-trick ball. Still fighting at the crease are Najmul Hossain Shanto 15 and Mushfiqur 4 to restore their side.

Earlier, the Indian middle and lower orders made a fightback. Ravindra Jadeja (86) combined with Ravichandran Ashwin (113) to put 199 runs for the rescue of India. Though Jadeja missed his hundred but the century of Ashwin rescued India’s innings.

Bangladesh: Hasan Mahmud bowled 5-83, Taskin Ahmed 3-55 removed India’s tail. India are well on top in this opening Test, with the strong total and early breakthroughs, wherein Bangladesh are already under stress. Only the future sessions will tell whether they can counter a skilled Indian attack.
