35 years after the fall of the Berlin wall, East Germany moped making a come&back
Back in the days of East Germany, many people got around on mopeds made by a manufacturer called Simson. After the fall of the Berlin Wall 35 years ago, Simsons went out of fashion. But, for the past few years, they’ve been making a come-back, and have even become a symbol of East German identity… one that the far-right is trying to claim as its own. Report by Anne Mailliet, Willy Mahler, Marie Pannetrat and Caroline du Bled.
